TEMPEST only collects personal information on a voluntary basis. Personal information collected may include your name and e-mail address. All payments are done through the PayPal system, but none of the user details are collected by TEMPEST while processing your payments.
You will receive a welcoming email to activate your Account when registering on the Game server. Please do not use your real name, the name of another person or that of a protected registered trademark as a Login Name for your Account.
When participating in the Game’s Forum or after logging an issue ticket on the Game’s Tech Support site, you may receive notification emails about the progress of your enquiry or activities on your threads and posts, depending on your account settings on the corresponding websites.
We will occasionally send you information on special deals and promotions. Out of respect for your privacy, we present the option not to receive these types of communications. On rare occasion, we may send you service-related notifications when it is necessary to do so. For example, if our service is temporarily not available for a prolonged period of time for some unscheduled maintenance. As it is not promotional, you may not opt-out of these communications while you have an active Account on one of our Game Servers.
TEMPEST will collect and store records which reflect how the Game and related websites are operated and used, including in-game user activities and in-game communication between users or communication within game-related services. This includes the monitoring of playing patterns and checks for possible manipulations of game operations which can then serve to detect any abusive or improper activities of users.
TEMPEST reserves the right to disclose your personal information as required by law or in special cases when we have reason to believe that disclosing such information is necessary to identify, contact, or bring legal action against you if you are violating the General Terms and Conditions of the Game, or may be causing injury to or interference (intentionally or unintentionally) with TEMPEST’s rights or property, other users of a TEMPEST site, or anyone else who could be harmed by your activities. We also reserve the right to disclose your personal information if we have a good faith belief that it is necessary to prevent fraud or other illegal activities.
As with any business, your personal information is also an asset of TEMPEST and will become part of our normal business records. As such, we may also disclose your personal information to a third party if we decide to sell a line of business to that third party, so you can continue to receive service and information in connection with that line of business with as little disruption as possible. Similarly, in the event of a merger, acquisition, reorganization, bankruptcy, or other similar event, your personal information may be transferred to TEMPEST's successor or assign.
When communicating on the Game Forum, please be aware that the posted information is being made publicly available online and if you see necessary to share any of your personal information, do so at your own risk.
We recognize a special obligation to protect personal information about young children. We urge parents to instruct their children to never give out their real names, addresses, or phone numbers to anyone online without their parent’s permission. Teenagers of the age between 12 and 17 should encourage their parents to review this policy and to contact us if they would like to raise any concerns.
TEMPEST values the importance of individual privacy, and as such, access to all personal information is strictly controlled. In addition, we will take reasonable steps to assure that third parties to whom we transfer any data will provide sufficient protection of personal information. We will retain your information for as long as needed to provide you services.
